I’d like to think so, and I hope so. But I’ve been wrong in all my guesses… ?? So I am giving up wondering. ? I have no idea how Texas admits work.
Any auto-admits with great stats and EC get accepted in CS yet? Seems the holistic reviews are getting notified first.
I think those getting notified are those who submitted before the early deadline. I read somewhere that admission decisions are made after they have gather the majority of the pool of applications - regardless when you submitted (with few exceptions for exceptional applicants). Those applied early get notify first but doesn’t mean they are accepted first - ie timeline of notifications is not indicative of time frame of admission.
But again I (or the guy who wrote the article) could be wrong …
That 4th button under recommended 4 things just reappeared after being gone for about 1week. Wish UTA would be more transparent about release dates, esp. for OOS applicants. Applied 0ct1, CNS.
@bh8690 this is not meant to be snarky at all, not sure if you are in Texas but,
UTA is the University of Texas at Arlington. (UTD=Dallas, UTEP=El Paso, UTSA=San Antonio). UT-Austin is just UT!

Hello everyone, I’m new here, my son is auto-admitted in UT and he applied to the engineering school (Computer Engineering) and he’s still under review. Two days ago, under the “Recommended” tab we saw just 3 items: Housing application, Texas Exes scholarship application, and Optional Materials. Yesterday in the morning we saw 4. The extra item was a link to apply to a variety of scholarships with the deadline 12/09/19. He applied right away and submitted it. Today there are just 3 again. I wanted to mention it because it’s a little bizarre that this link is active for just one day.
Anyone been accepted into Marine Science yet?
What type of hospital work experience do you have? Volunteered or interned in hospitals? Do you have your CNA? UT Nursing School is very competitive. My LHD is a UT nursing school graduate. They look for your hospital experience in addition to stellar grades, good scores, a well rounded resume, and stellar essays. You need to prove you are prepared to be a nurse. Have you done that?
Hi there, I have a question, is it standard to be able to login to myUT?
What I mean my application is still in review but I can login not only to myStatus but also to myUT, and my housing says congratulations, your next step is to accept admissions offer. Does everyone who hasn’t been accepted have the same?
@anneclass2024 Not accepted yet and tried to login to myUT but says account hasn’t been created. Hoping that’s good news for you!

Is myUT an app for the students? I need to make sure my son has it loaded on his phone, if so.
I saw this post and we were able to log into myUT as well. I’m not sure if it has been this way. When did you notice this? Were you not able to log in before? It looks similar A&M’s howdy 6-tab. When this happened, he got the acceptance shortly later. I do hope this is a good sign. Where do you see “Congratulations?..” His shows “Welcome to University Housing and Dining!..”
It is an app but also there is a link on the homepage, to access your UT portal.
The housing I tried it on the 15 of November, and it let me pay, but I couldn’t go further because it said there was not a decision on my file. I tried 3 times in the following week and the same, but suddenly it let me go thru and finish my application for the housing, it appeared a screen that said congratulations your housing application is complete. The next steps were for incoming freshmen to accept my admissions decision, and then they would send me the contract. I call UT and said that my application was under review and the decision was going to be in March. They didn’t answer me why it was open, they just repeated my decision was going to be in March.
Were you able to log in myUT before? I can’t remember where we stopped with housing. Just remember we paid. I went in today and see it was paid but wasn’t complete as you said. It let me continue and complete. Hope this is a good sign. Good luck!
@anneclass2024 Do you see an admissions advisor / counselor on myUT mainpage or elsewhere?
I do not know where to look, there are things that are obviously closed because I haven’t accepted admissions but I can see my “classes schedule”, that I don’t owe anything, I can search for other UT Austin students, etc. Registration semester selection. If I click registration, this is what it shows.

I was just able to log on to MyUT no problem but I’m confused on where to find the Housing Application.
