My daughter just received her first major rejection which is BSN. (School of nursing). She was auto admitted to her second major which is undeclared . She will
Have 2 more chances to apply as a freshman. Any thoughts about that? Attending undeclared?
Good news/bad news tonight. My son’s portal just changed to “Gone to Texas” unfortunately he did not get his 1st (Mechanical Engineering) or 2nd (Electrical Engineering) choice, but they put him in Civil Engineering. Great that he’s at least in the engineering school, but that’s not what he wants to study.
Does anyone know if you can appeal the decision about your major? My husband who is an engineer says that the curriculum is probably nearly the same for at least the first year, so he could always try to change once there, but we have heard this can be difficult to do.
Please let me know if you know anything about:

appealing the major decision (his 1st semester, senior year grades in 7 AP classes and Robotics are the highest grades he has earned throughout high school–would this make any difference?)
