Anybody get accepted into UT-Austin yet? Couple from my school did this week

I’m guessing they were auto-admits?

Any OOS admits to Moody? If so, what are your stats?

@Revofev actually they weren’t one was in the top 11% another was in the top 20%

Liberal arts and natural sciences came out last week non-auto

MOMOF5TX do you know if auto-admits are supposed to have already gotten their majors for liberal arts and natural science??? My son applied to liberal arts as his first choice and natural science as his second choice. He was auto-admitted in September and still does not have an assigned major. 2160 SAT and #1 class rank and no major. I’m seriously freaking out that so many people have majors and he does not.

Momof5tx–are you saying all non-admits for liberal arts went out? We’re out of state and anxiously waiting.

yeah same here @collegefind I applied to engineering as first major though, my second was physics (natural sci.) and i haven’t heard anything. but i’m not auto admit.

I think its by week though, first wave of acceptances was last friday, next wave should be next week or during winter break. and so until march 1st.

Thanks, hope that second wave comes soon. It’s just a very stressful wait.

@collegefind I know what you mean, I go to a feeder school for UT (meaning we send 50-70 kids to UT every year) and we are so competitive. I want to get into at least Natural Sci. if not for Engineering. I am literally checking every 5 minutes. :o

Hang in there guys!

The ones I heard that got accepted last week to liberal arts or natural sciences were definitely not auto-admits. They were instate but I’m not saying all non-auto went out, I’m just saying I know of some who were admitted.

@MOMOF5TX yeah, they send out admittance notifications in “waves” apparently. hopefully the next wave is coming up soon.

Yes hopefully! My applicant has stats above avg and is still waiting to hear from McCombs. Still praying

Ok, I feel better that you are saying those you know are in-state. Thanks for the info.

I just checked my application status and was admitted into the Electrical Engineering major in the Cockrell School of Engineering. Submitted my application on Nov. 29 and completed the required documents on Dec. 7. I was surprised how fast they got back to me. I am an OOS applicant.

@ClassicalCollege Did you get in today? What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?

That sure was very quick. You must be a very strong applicant. Congrats! I’m still waiting to hear back from UT Austin and Cockrell. I’m also OOS, applied early November. Did not think that anyone OOS found out before late February- early March

You guys think I have a slight chance of getting into Aerospace Engineering or at least Physics (natural sciences)
