Cap doesn’t help me at all because I already have my freshman year done… the admissions lady I talked to seemed like I was poop out of luck with that.

Just got an email saying I should login to MyStatus (got my decision about a half-hour ago).

Confused! Son is auto admit (top 1% - 33ACT) did not get Chem E, his first choice. Second choice was Chemistry, but the Status page does not mention the second choice. Only that he didn’t get his first choice. When I go to the list of available majors to pick from, there are no sciences available. Any ideas?
They are still saying on twitter that all admission decisions will be released by march 1.
My kid got capped. 30 ACT, 92 Average, Hispanic. Applied to Communications and education.

WOW… My first denial!!! Applied to College of Engineering - ACT 31 - GPA of 3.5 UW and 4.3 Weighted. Thought I was a good candidate. Oh well. Good luck to those who were admitted.
@lenny2 - it doesn’t mention his second choice there either, just says “we are unable to offer you admission to your first choice major”. There is nothing from CNS available to choose on the options to choose a major?

Wrigley Mom, Wait list, PACE and CAP are good things if you are not admitted. Not everyone gets those. Many will get CAP, but very few get wait list or PACE. Waitlist is if someone else decides not to go to UT. So she is very close. PACE is where you can go to UT and ACC (basically you will be there at campus, and no one will know she is not a full student)…and CAP is also a good option. But you are at another campus first year.
