@lenny2 - it still says first choice: Chem E / second choice: Chemistry
But in the main box it says: To finalize your offer of admission, choose a major. The selection system will open at 6 p.m. (CST) on February 25, 2015, and space in the available majors will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is not a single math or science listed as an available major, although UGS is.
not many clear the wait list. Last year 769 were offered the waitlist. 213 accepted being on the wait list and 18 were admitted. The year before states are even worse. All this data comes from the UT common data set.
@shubhamchamaria I wish it did. Mines the same and i’m waiting too. According to this http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/freshmen/housing You don’t have to be admitted to apply for housing.
@dana267, @shubhamchamaria, @chonladoo, I wish the “you may apply for housing” meant something, as my son’s page says that too, but couldn’t you apply for housing anytime after your application was complete?
“Once your MyStatus page indicates that you are admissions complete, submit your UT Austin housing application. Contract offers and room assignments are completed based on your original housing application. You do not need to be admitted to apply for housing. You can apply for housing as soon as you are admissions complete. Completion of the application does not guarantee housing.” @shubhamchamaria
