CAPed, not really surprised it’s what I expected but still disappointing
@Machovich it’s alright! keep your head up!
.
got accepted into petroleum engineering with 28 ACT and 1850 SAT.
Stunned by kid’s rejection For ChemE. ACT of 35. A’s in many upper level science classes. National Merit. Applied in August! :((
My daughter got accepted into Mechanical Engineering today! Big sigh of relief here…
@CrazyMom23 I think that’s crazy! Your son should submit an appeal if that is possible.
@austintxmother congrats to her!
My son got rejected today. ACT 34, UWGPA 3.7, aerospace engineering, OOS. It wasn’t his first choice school but still disappointed because it was top 3. At least the wait is over. Good luck to all of you!
Accepted to the the Cockrell School of Engineering! I am OOS.
File is still in review. Guess I’ll have to wait on the next batch of decisions. Anyone know when that will be?
Rejected. ACT 31 (35M, 35E, 12 Essay). UWGPA ~3.6-3.7. Major was either biochem or environmental engineering or something along those lines. OOS. Didn’t really have too much interest in the school and was kind of forced to apply to my essays were terrible.
Got into Chemical Engineering OOS! UT is my top choice, so I’m really excited. Shaking a bit from shock. Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those who haven’t received admissions decisions yet
If the cap agreement starts Feb 25th then how is the last batch of admission going to comes out on the 27th? Wouldn’t it be unfair for those who get capped on the 27th?? (Ps got capped)
I don’t know if the last batch of admissions is on the 27th, that’s a friday. i know they have one more, it may be just throughout the week instead of a single day. just saying, UT MAY release additional admissions tomorrow. I am not sure though
@imthereal haha shaking here too! congrats! hope to see you next fall!
can you post her stats?
Daughter is interested in mechanical engineering -junior in HS now.
@texasnj tell your daughter to aim ideally for a 2100+ on her SAT and PLS take math level 2 subject test. and show great interest in the school thru essays. I think those things saved me, otherwise i wouldn’t of gotten in. My rank was TERRIBLE
My daughter had a 2220 on her SAT (800 math and 800 CR), did not submit her ACT score (even tho it was a 32) and took NO subject tests. She was top 4.8% at her high school with about 485 students. Her first choice was mechanical and second choice was aerospace. She got into mechanical. Good luck to everyone!
Capped
3.6 UW 4.1 W

Bummed and upset, UT has always been my dream school
