ALSO, PLEASE TELL ME GRADES DON'T MATTER AT UT! TT___TT
I just got a 79(C+) in British Literature for one of my Senior grades.....

but yea thanks!!

btw I plan on majoring in Nutritional Sciences!! thanks
if not then some science.. trying to get into med school

bumpy bumpy

UcMichigan ahhaha.

Funny name.

^uhh.. yea
this is my brother's account. It's cuz he applied to Michigan and UCLA... and liked both those schools
thanks for the ... reply? -_-

If you've already sent your transcript before you got the C+, you're fine. Also, it's really hard for OOS residents to get in--check out the demographics of the UG pool. They literally have 6% OOS students. So, based on those numbers, I'd have to call UT Austin a reach.

^^Yeah but that doesn't mean that 6% are admitted from the applicant pool. Remember that texas has the 10% rule.

To the OP: at UT for OOS the median SAT I score is 1330-1350/1600 --i don't remember exactly. Check out the UT subforum in CC for more details. Based on SAT I (solely), I think UT is a reach.

^oh thanks
I think the middle 50% is 1300 flat though.
but thanks for chancing me =P

I think getting into UT Austin won't be a problem for you!
According to your accomplishments, you should even consider some other prestigious universities as well (UT Austin in definitely AWESOME!)

UTexas at Austin--Match

^hey thanks a lottt
I pray you both above me are right =D

I think you'll be alright for the college itself. What's your major?

^I want to probably do Nutritional Sciences.. or some other science course and eventually go to med school =]

I think you're good! If you were applying to McCombs I might've been concerned.

^thanks!

anymore??
=P

UTAustin is very competitive for out of state students. They have the top 10% quota (to be abolished next year). I would say match with your ACT score. Don't send SAT.

Congrats to another baylor accepted student :) I got a scholarship too.

^hey thanks =]
oh but I sent my SAt and ACT already... do you think that might hurt me?
I applied early November.. soo

congrats on baylor =P

UT is incredibly rank heavy from what I hear. Top 10% is basically auto-admit (even for OOS from what I have been told) and after that its based on test scores and other factors. If you are out of the top 25%, it will probably be very hard for you to get in OOS though. Your test scores are fine and EC's are excellent but its all going to be down to your rank(I'm going on your 'upper 20's out of 93') and how your other factors compensate for it. I am also applying to UT. Best of luck to you!

How do you know that Texas is abolishing to top 10% quota next year and does it apply to the students applying next year?
