<p>I will be graduating class of 2012 so I'm applying right now to Cockrell School of Engineering at UT Austin. I just wanted to start this thread to get to know the people ill be seeing come fall next year hopefully. I also ask for opinions on if you think i will make the cut or not for the school of engineering</p>

<p>ACT:
Composite - 31
Math - 34
Science -31
Reading -31
Writing -28
Essay - 24</p>

<p>SAT:
Math - 710
Reading - 610
Writing - 560</p>

<p>Class Rank: 27/589 last time i checked but i probably dropped to around 32-35/589</p>

<p>GPA:
Weighted - 5.27
Unweighted - 3.61</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Volunteering at hospital and my mosque since freshman year....
Work as Sports Assistant/referee at local rec center since sophmore year
Clubs like NHS, HOSA, FBLA, TSA, MSA....</p>

<p>I just wanna know if i have a pretty good shot at making it or not? i know my SAT scores are low but my ACT score is substantially better and im taking it again and i think i can get a 33. please let me know whats up and any advice is appreciated!</p>

<p>If you’re a Texas resident you probably have a good shot. You may get more feedback if you post this on the U of Texas board, engineering major board, “chance me” board, or the college admissions board. This is the board to discuss the common application.</p>
