University of Texas, McCombs School of Business

Hi, everyone I am currently a student at a community college in South Texas. I am very interested in transferring into McCombs at UT Austin in Fall 2011 as an Accounting Major. Of course, as I, and everyone else knows this is a lot easier said than done. I would be transferring with around 55-60 hours of credit that would apply to my major. The problem is my GPA is not impressive. I graduated from high school in June of 2010, and most of my college credit was earned through a dual credit program with my high school and current college. My GPA is rounded up to a 3.4, as of this moment. I am currently enrolled in 12 hours for the Fall 2010 semester, and hoping to bring it up as much as I can.
So transferring straight into McCombs looks like a long shot at the moment. I have heard that is much easier to apply as an undeclared major and transfer into McCombs after attending UT Austin for a semester. I also read that it is required that you take Calculus I and II on UT's campus to apply to McCombs.

What are my best possible options?
Thanks guys!
