Umm I wouldn’t recommend risking it because you’ll probably end up paying more at the end. I honestly don’t really know for sure though. I do know they don’t fill up as fast as on campus housing and from what I’ve seen they’re prices are about the same as on campus and sometimes a little cheaper. I was planning to stay on campus for fall 2011 since I’ll be a freshmen but I compared the prices and the private dorms are cuter and about the same price. Like on campus for an okay dorm with a private/connecting bath was about 9000ish where as some of the off campus dorms were like a little less then that. Just depends.

I personally like the castillian just because thats where I plan on staying and the faculty is nice, or at least have been to me. Umm though the dobie does seem like it would be a cool place too. i guess it just depends on where your classes will be and how much of a distance you don’t mind traveling and the atmosphere. I’d say def. try to go visit if you can so you can see for yourself! :)

BUT the big advantage with Towers is they have KITCHENS in their rooms!

(Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Dobie nor Castilian have that? Dobie has living room areas though…?)

This is a big deal for me, especially as I definitely won’t get the unlimited meal plan, and I don’t want to eat out 24/7 either so for the remainder of my meals, I’m going to try learn to cook haha.

You’re right towers does have a kitchen and a living area, it’s basically like an apartment. But if you don’t live there and decide on the dobie don’t worry about whether or not you’d miss parties because chances are you’ll go to them anyways, I think your freshmen year is just going to be on the basis of how social you make yourself and anywhere you’ll live you’ll have fun:)
