If I go to Texas I will be in the BHP (Business Honors Program) at the McCombs school which is absolutely awesome, but I feel like I fit in better at A&M where I have been accepted into their Engineering Honors Program. I'm not much of a partier (although I'm pretty social, I just don't drink), and I love the friendliness and laid back atmosphere of A&M. Texas obviously has the better academic opportunities, but socially I'd be better at A&M I think, so I'm struggling with the decision! Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Would you double major engineering and business at UT? As far as A&M goes, if you’re in their honors program, I’m sure you will just as many opportunities for engineering that you would at Texas. But do you really want to stand up the entire football game?

I’d first figure out whether you want to study business or engineering.

If you want to do business, I’d definitely go to UT BHP as it will open up more doors for you than A&M’s business school. BHP is a very prestigious program.

UT engineering is also better than A&M engineering, but A&M does have one of the top 15-20 engineering programs in the nation. I think they’re ranked #2 in petroleum engineering just behind UT. If you think you fit in better at A&M, then go with engineering honors there.

LOL, sadilly! At least you get to sit down while the other team’s band is playing at halftime!
