University of the Pacific (4+3) Pre-dental "advantage" program

I recently was admitted a spot to the (4+3) seven year pre-dental program at UOP after being rejected initially. They replied back to my e-mail saying this spot was available for me. What is the advantage of this program if it is still 7 years? Can I not just take a regular biological sciences major and go the the dental school without this pre-dental program. What is the difference between this seven year advantage program and regular admission? I heard this college is good for getting in an out, and if you’re not their for an accelerated professional program then don’t bother. Is this true?

Knowing there will be a spot for you in dental school.

You definitely can. Thats the traditional route.

Knowing there will be a spot for you in dental school. Regular admissions may require standardized exams (e.g. DAT), letters of recommendation, separate applications, interviews. This seven year program sounds like it will bypass all of that if you meet their requirements.
