University of the pacific

I jus wanted to kno if any of you guys either received an acceptance letter or got rejected from the University of the Pacific pre-pharmacy program yet?

I wonder if you’d applied after Nov. deadline.

I applied mine in january for the pharmacy program,
and i still have not gotten any mails from UOP.
I saw in the internet saying that
the pharmacy advancement’s deadline was Nov.
NOT january.

sorry i forgot to mention tht but yes i did apply before the nov 15th deadline for the accelerated pharmacy program

Yes, I received an acceptance letter a few weeks ago for the accelerated pharmacy program. However, my cousin with nearly the same or even better stats has not heard from them yet…

do you know which year program u got into 5, 6, or 7year program
nd what area do you live in ex. LA county, central valley etc.

I got into the 6 year program and I’m from San Jose/ the bay area.

its wayyyyyyyyyyyyy past the admission notification date nd i still havent recieved anything in terms of e-mail or mail from them,
What do u think i should do? btw does this mean tht im rejected or wht???
some1 plz help im kinda freakin out rite now

don’t worry, it doesn’t mean you’re rejected. i called 2 days ago and they told me it may take about 2 more weeks for notices to come out. unfortunately, i checked my email today and rejected :(

im sorry to hear tht
but how did they e-mail u cause last week when i asked they said they were sending out all notifications through mail only?

really i got an email that said i was rejected… so i’m not sure

The admission committee at University of the Pacific has completed its review of your application materials. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer you admission. A hard copy letter with more information is being mailed to your home address. Please consult that letter for more details.

ummmmmmmmmm ye
still havent received anything from them
i called them on tuesday and they said it could take till the end of next week
nd according to their website they were supposed to send out all admission notification by the end of march!!! and its APRIL 10TH today!!! WTH should i do
should i consider this a rejection nd jus move on or wht???

Did any 2015 students apply to UOP and not receive any mail of acceptance/rejection/waitlist?

I heard back from them at the end of January, and then again on March 15 to find out I was accepted into the 5 year pharmacy program. I hate to bring you down, but most likely, if you didn’t receive anything from UOP regarding their pharmacy program, then you’re either waitlisted or rejected. UOP’s pharmacy program is very competitive…

I have to go with illusiondestiny on that one because I heard back around the same time for the 5 year pharm program.

I didnt apply for pharmacy. Just regular admissions…

Girll, for regular admissions, I am sorry to say but you have been most LIKELY but leave atleast 1-10% that “your admissions has been deferred/ and not rejected” They most likely left you in a trash pile which means they left you for dead… They are just completing their fill ins for the spots then they will by default say that you were rejected because there wasn’t any more space for you. Btw I am curious what was your gpa/ sat scores + class rigor in high school. ( I am an admitted student to their business program.)

where did you get your information from? are you just guessing?

I’m not completely sure about it, but I’ve heard many stories of people having late decisions (and they got either waitlisted or denied) on CC and at school. Most of the people who are accepted usually get notifications early (like how I got a letter from UOP in December that reassured me that I was in the pharmacy program) or get it at most one week after they say decisions will come out.

This thread is so old…

I applied early action to University of the Pacific for freshman admission (College of the Pacific). I didn’t receive anything in the mail initially, but I got an email saying I had been deferred and my name had been put in regular admission pool, and this was January 4th 2011.

Feb 7th 2011, UOP sent me an email with a link to my admission decision. I logged in and found I had been accepted! A few days later they sent the actual acceptance letter in the mail.
