Is there any information about the international acceptance rate? I'm interested in applying but I'd like to know if there's even a chance to get in.

It’s very competitive, the best school of Japan and around Top 3(or 5) in Asia.

I think they may require Japanese language also.

While I’m taking Japanese in school now, I’m definitely not qualified for that, but they have an English degree program about Japan and East Asia, a kind of international relations/politics thing, which is exactly what I want to do.

Huzzah! The program accepts 15 students “for the first two years.” I assume this means it will accept more in later years.

Now I just have to find out how many APPLY for this.

why are you worried about competition? If you think you’re good enough then there is no problem. Just apply and see what happens. I think I can safely say that there are probably more than 15 people applying for those 15 places…

well for undergraduate programs university of tokyo sucks… specially monopoly of japannese language there… second if you are international student then you require to attend 1 year of japan langugage program first… KAIST Korea… and university of japan are not good for graduation… try some american or candian univ.

I think KAIST conducts all its courses in English though? I’m not sure…

Nope kiast offer only in korean…

Sent from my GT-N7000 galaxy note using CC

As I said before, Tokyo has a Bachelors Degree program entirely in English.

ummm

I want to say that I don’t think that pp should attend University in Asia.

The reason is I think all of you know about the crazy competition of Asian b/f attending in Uni, right?
So, 4 years in Uni, they just want to relax and study less. I think you should attend Uni in Us instead.

I, myself, am Asian and love Asia pp, culture and alls but will attend Uni. in Us b/f of this.
and in Asia about course you can take is pretty unchangeable like if you’re… major, you must take course following their order.
