@Evang1972000 when did you apply and what are your grades like, if you don’t mind sharing.
Seriously when is the May wave coming ?? I’m applying from within the US but my citizenship is india so I kinda get it but it’s been months, is anyone else still waiting from the arts and sci department. I committed to a school in the US but I’m still looking to go to Canada.
@orange5389 I’m in the same situation as you. My second choice school was too expensive so I committed to a school that I would honestly prefer not going to if I had the choice. I really hope U of T would release decisions in a timely manner as they’re my first choice.
The school I committed to needs housing forms and other stuff soon so I really need this decision to come out too, what school did u commit to btw
@Vikarious @orange5389 I’m in the same scenario as you guys. Accepted an offer from the Netherlands but first choice is UofT. The lady from the admissions department said that they were really behind on offers and the next round would come out in end May (which means first week June).
@karinaaa I mean regardless we have to receive our decision before June. I believe June 3rd is the deadline for enrollment responses for Ontario schools. The r/UofT subreddit says May 29 is the latest they can give us an offer. However, looking at their track record for the past couple months I’d be pleasantly surprised if I get my decision before I start applying to grad school
@Vikarious @karinaaa question for y’all if you guys are internationals, if you haven’t gotten an offer of admission from UofT yet how are you doing the visa process? If you get in can you accept the offer prior to getting the visa?
@orange5389 Honestly, that’s one of the things I’m worried most about. Since one of the requirements is “a letter of acceptance from the college stating the program of study, including start and end dates” to get a study permit. I haven’t really started the permit process to be honest.
Yeah same, a group of people from my class are traveling at the end of the month to another country to take a biometrics test for the study permit and I will hear back at the end of the month. So now I’m confused on how the visa process will be for me.
@karinaaa Honestly, this application process has put a very sour taste in my mouth and I decided to commit to Kenyon College after they awarded me some scholarship, so unless I get into Trinity, I see no real tangible benefit to going to U of T. I truly believe they are losing out on (if not me) some other truly valuable applicants due to the admissions process.
My application status is still “application received” is that mean I have no chance at all?
Ugh, I totally understand your point. I’ve committed to another school as well and unless I get into a college I really want at UofT, I guess imma drop it as well. @Vikarious
@KKawaiii U of T and other Ontario schools wait until a couple of weeks after the early June acceptance deadline before they send out rejections. At this point, if you haven’t received an acceptance from a Canadian school, you should assume that you are not going to.
Did anyone get a residency offer yet?
