Just received an email says "Now that you have received an offer, we encourage you to head to UofT.me/YouBelongHere for useful information about accepting your offer and next steps. " But then when I login the engineering portal, it still say “a decision is pending for your application”. Did anyone get something similar previously or recently?
Someone on reddit did @gre8texp
Thanks @MrRobot2018. Let me check out. Best of luck to everyone here waiting anxiously. My hunch is most of you will get in.
@gre8texp No worries. And Congrats!
FYI I tried to post the link but I guess that violates the CC terms. Didn’t know that. Sorry CC!
Hi! I applied as an international student for Arts and Sciences in ST George campus in late October, but still haven’t heard a thing. My JoinUofT portal still reads “application received” only. Has any international student already been accepted/rejected?
I’m an international student who applied for social sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences in St. George campus. I saw from the post above that U of T accepted only 200 international students last year… I applied at Mid-January, so I’m worried if this implies that I’m automatically denied.
I’m also curious that my application is “under review” even though it was received at Mid-January, because applications for my friend who applied at November shows “application received.”
I don’t know if this really matters, but I have a 1450 SAT and a 3.92 Unweighted GPA.
@Yeollingirl12 It can not true from what I know that they only accepted 200 international students in 2018. It is way more than that. If you meant 200 is only for social sciences, then I am not sure and it could be right.
@Yeollingirl12 @gre8texp According to UofT, over 16,000 enrolled in undergraduate programs as of 2017-18—so at least 4k per year I would guess. Looks like vast majority are from China.
@MrRobot2018 you are right on. I checked out the statistics for 2017-2018 enrollments. Total international students for undergraduate is 16,069 for three campuses. So 4K per class.
@MrRobot2018 I am from the Caribbean. What was your top college preference?
@karinaaa Victoria. But I didn’t really put much thought into the order
Oh, I picked Victoria too! It is the most competitive one to get into! Did you complete the Victoria profile and Vic on application portion as well? @MrRobot2018
@karinaaa Hmmm. Don’t remember doing that. Oh well!
I am also from the Caribbean, which program did you apply to? @karinaaa
@MrRobot2018 Are you applying to any of the One Programs?
@Rebecca1999 Great! Where in the Caribbean are you from? I applied to the Arts and Sciences program. WBU?
Any ArtSci decisions anyone?
@letsgotoronto It seems like all the decisions have been engineering. Waiting for Life Sciences here.
@karinaaa Arts and Sciences (social Science) where are you from? Did you apply for the Lester b Pearson scholarship?
@Rebecca1999 Oh gr8! I’ve applied for Life Sciences. I am from this tiny island called Curacao (right next to Aruba). And yes, my school selected me for that scholarship. Wbu?
