University of Toronto vs CAS (IR Major)

Hi guys i know it's abit late for 'versus' posts but i'm still having big debates between these two schs.

I know both are great schs but doing the IR major in nyu and nyc will open lots of doors for the future as compared to doing it in toronto. ut also has a notorious lack of focus on undergraduate students. i know nyu ain't much better but ut is more well-known for it's grad programs such as med and life science but their undergrad is just...

also about the financial concern, i got nothing from nyu but got a 6000 scholarship from ut(toronto) and the total fee for ut is only 18000 whereas cas is 2 billion dollars. so comparing all the other stuff, feel free to give comments on what you guys think.

well i’m choosing Stern over Queen’s commerce / Schulich / U of T / Waterloo..

and I got nothing from NYU versus lots more from those schools.. so.. iunno :s

I’m picking NYU over McGill/Queens/Western because of the fact that it opens more doors.

If you think about it, you have opportunities in both US and Canada whereas it doesn’t work the other way around with a Canadian diploma.

where are you guys from in canada? add me on msn so we can chat further.

In a global perspective, NYU is so much > UT.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, but since we’re discussing Canadian universities, how would you compare NYU CAS to McGill?

Thanks.

PS: btw I chose NYU over McGill, but I just want to get some more perspectives.

easy! if you planned to STAY in Canada forever in your career, get an canadian degree. if you planned to stay in USA forever in your career, get an American degree. if you planned to go international, i dont know.

@ vector, what do you mean by “In a global perspective, NYU is so much > UT”?
