At the moment, I am a junior and my latest ACT score is a 32. I will still take it in September and October and hopefully raise it to a 34. I have taken APUSH, AP Physics 1, AP Psychology, AP European History, AP English Language, and I plan to take AP Physics C, AP Statisics, AP Government and Macroeconomics, AP Spanish Language, AP Calculus BC, and AP English Literature for my senior year. However, my unweighted GPA is 3.47, while my weighted GPA is 3.78. I am a columnist at a sports website and I have published for a foreign national newspaper, I have been captain of the debate team, I have two years of Soccer, and I plan on tutoring for the American Youth Literature Foundation soon. My race is Asian, and I plan to major in Economics, possibly minor in math or entreprenurship. If I raise my ACT score by two points, would it be likely or even possible for me to receive a full tuition scholarship to the University of Utah? I am also out of state.

I would like to try and start this thread again. Again, I have an ACT of 32 so far, but my unweighted GPA is 3.45, and the unweighted GPA is what the U of U looks at. At the same time, I have taken almost all of the hardest classes available (except in math), including 5 AP classes and 3 honors classes. For my senior year, I am taking all of the hardest classes possible even in math, with 7 APs for the year. If I am to raise my ACT score to a 35 or a 36, is there anyone that could comment on whether a full tuition or full scholarship to Utah is plausible in my situation?
Presidential was quoted as being a 35 + ACT for this year according to a U speaker at a talk for instate students The U of Utah offers instate rates for OOS students after one year, that in itself seems overly generous as instate rates are so low. Living off campus is very doable, most students don’t live on campus.
Very high stats, perfect gpa, tippy top test scores, all AP/AB, fantastic ECs, are not uncommon in the Utah academic schools, many of the top achievers are American Asian.
