University of Victoria

Does anyone know anything about this university? I'm from England and next year I'll be at the university of Exeter. In my second year I can go to Victoria for an exchange and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it? I'm really scared of going to a foreign country and not knowing anyone! What are the people like? Is it a friendly place? Any info would be really appreciated!

You mean University of Victoria in Victoria, BC?

Yeah that's the one.

Hi London_girl,

I am a high school student from British Columbia and one of the representatives from UVic came to my school to talk about it. I've actually never been to the actual campus but I recieved a booklet from them. Uvic's campus is gorgeous and it seems like a friendly atmosphere. I'm not so sure about this but I was told that UVic is the best city in the world to live in.

I've never been to the campus, but Victoria's a lovely, charming place. It's has a friendly and open feel to it. You needn't be even the slightest bit intimidated.

never seen or researched Uvic, but I vacationed to Victoria a few years ago (parents thought it would be nice because I have a sister named Victoria)... man, its the most peaceful, beautiful place Ive ever been. Those canadians really have something going on there. I dont know how great the social scene is there(as i said, the town is on the peaceful side) but that may change on the college campus. Also, you're about 45 minutes away by ferry from either Vancouver or Seattle.. two of the top 25 greatest cities in the world (by my standards)
