Every time someone ask something that’s covered in the application instructions, an admission officer cries. Seriously, though, the mid-year thing is covered in the instructions.
The timing of release, stats, and other details are covered on the blog. Please read it!
Good luck to everyone! Remember you’re more than just an admissions decision and there’s a reason for everything. I’ll post my stats tonight with my decision regardless, unless I’m deferred, in which case I’ll be far too superstitious for that haha. (Obviously Dean J stalks the forums, finds out who talks about their stats, and ensures they’re denied!!)
has anyone ever heard of a policy regarding twins as far as offers go? I have twins both applying to UVA and some folk have told us most schools either accept or reject both as a manner of being “fair” to a family although won’t put that in writing.
I just read Dean J’s comments on the Notes from Peabody and I just have to say I cannot believe how much time she has taken to make this process so personal and how sensitive she is to how important this is to everyone. Regardless of the decision my daughter receives, I have quite a positive image of the admissions department at UVA. No wonder the school has such a fabulous reputation. Good luck everyone and it might be a good idea to read her note before you check your decision. She gives some great advice and insight. You will all end up at great schools.
