<p>I applied this fall Early Decision to UVa. I've read everything from every book and blog out there, but it seems that every case is different. Does anybody have an idea whether I have a good shot or not?</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 UW (hardest courses possible)
SAT: CR 660
M 700
W 690 = 2050</p>

<p>SAT II: US History 720
Math II (haven't recieved scores yet)</p>

<p>Class Rank: top 5% of 250 students (school doesn't release ranks)
School: 1100 students, considered best public school in San Diego</p>

<p>Top 4% of California students</p>

<p>APs: Calculus AB: 5
US History: 4
English Language: 4</p>

<p>I'll find out on Dec. 1st whether I got in but I just wanted to kill some time and see what my chances really look like. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.</p>

<p>You're outofstate, you'll have a hard time getting in. I have lower stats, but I'm in VA- so I think I have a better chance even.</p>

<p>I applied ED to UVA too, and have very similar stats. Only thing is I'm in state! Definitely a reach for you. Accepted OOSers tend to be legacies, ivy quality, URM, or some other amazing hook.</p>
