Quick question and honest answers please. My son is at crew practice, and won’t be off the water until 6pm. If I know his log in info, am I a terrible person if I look at his decision before he does? I don’t like the person I’m turning into during this process…Congrats to all accepted, and sincere sympathies to those who did not receive the decision they were looking for.
Accepted In state!!! 28 ACT, 3.9 UW GPA!!! Didn’t expect much after rejections from Northwestern and Uchicago last week. But I’m happy I was proven wrong!!! I was worried that writing my essay about Nike and Adidas in the sneaker industry was weird, but I guess not!!!

On a lighter note, the college acceptance process can be extremely stressful as we are all realizing. My daughter is in state in VA, 4.16 GPA, EC’s that are outstanding, rigorous classes, etc (you all know what I’m talking about). Early on she applied to UVA as it’s a great school. As her college search unfolded, she started to drift towards the smaller LAC’s and UVA began to slip down the list. I called to tell her the decisions were out today, she logged in, and just started laughing so much I thought she was going to drop the phone. REJECTED!! Didn’t bother her at all.
She did like William & Mary (awaiting decision) but Davidson (comes out tonight), Richmond (accepted), JMU Honors College (accepted), VT (accepted; waiting on Honors College) and several pending OOS schools really helped neutralize the whole UVA decision. I liked our visit but she just wasn’t feeling a good vibe when she was there.
Thanks for the advice, @HYPSPlease and @MooMoo12121. I will drink a glass of wine instead, and wait it out…
