University of virginia regular decision 2024

So in regards to submitting grades, I see this

“…If you are still on the waiting list at the end of this semester, please ask your counselor to send us the a final transcript; if you receive any honors or awards, feel free to notify us by uploading a note in your portal. Please do not send your update to one (or several) admission officers.”

I’m unsure whether this is referring to the “second week of May to late June” notification range or a different range. If my school completes its year in the middle of June, what grades would I be sending in early May? If I’m notified before then, does that mean I do not send grades? @“Dean J”

I know you’re busy so you may not get the opportunity to answer this question, but I’d appreciate any clarification.

Congrats to those who got in. We will all end up where we’re supposed to be.

my instate NMF kid with straight A’s in mostly AP classes and a well-rounded resume was waitlisted. The kid will be fine elsewhere but how is that even possible? It just seems weird.

congrats to all those accepted!

I think it has been confirmed that UVA admissions defies reality.

@jajulie
Pretty crazy, that’s how it is here in CA too. They take so many out of state then there’s not enough room for instate students. Ridiculous, all about money.

@Looking4twins
It seems like here in CA where several schools seem to take out of state with lower stats, really sad we have to go to another state to go to college.

Did anyone else get an offer to have guaranteed transfer from UVA at Wise into UVA in Charlottesville after the first year?

@CollegeMomCL2024 right. I’m still hoping for UCLA, UCI, and Cal in the next two weeks though, especially UCLA and UCI (possibly) for this Friday.

@jajulie That guaranteed transfer option is only offered to College of Arts and Science wait listed applicants.

I did, I think all waitlisted applicants for the school of Arts and Sciences receive the Wise offer.

@drewh02 oh thank you

idk where this "uVa aCcEpTs OnLy rIcH KiDs OOS"AsSuMpTiOn is coming from but with my low stats, i am also low income

I never understand the surprise at low acceptance rates for high stat students in RD. If you wanted to be at UVA so badly apply ED or at least EA…this isn’t something new or unique to UVA

Yes my son offered UVA wise for first year but thanks everyone he will go Virginia tech
