University of Virignia or Virginia Tech for Mech Engineering

Hi. I'm a student of VCCS pursuing AS in Mechanical Engineering and will be transferring to UVa or VT this fall. I've been beating myself up in picking the right one but no success so far. I searched the forums about both schools and are doing little help.

All I'm looking for is to go to a school that will help me land a job I enjoy or get admission in a good grad school depending on the situation after two years. UVa is a better option for me as more classes will be transferred compared to Tech. Where as at Tech, I'll have take extra classes to graduate. Now some people are skeptical about UVa engineering in the forums.

Should I ignore them or go for VT and do an extra semester. Or the Mech Engineering programs at both schools are equally good?

I have an overall 4.0 gpa, honors credits for engineering classes, honors club membership, tutoring, and treasurer in engineering club. I just don't to regret in the end by making the wrong decision.

I'll really appreciate your time and reply. Thanks. :)
