Reflection

Weaknesses: Math
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/denied: I was a recipient of a Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship to study in Germany during my junior year in high school, so that really helped me I think. Plus my extracurriculars and work experience are good.
General Comments: Gotten into 5/6 of the colleges I applied to. Still waiting for Georgetown so we’ll see…

Okay… I think that UW might have been doing acceptances in waves. Day 1: some or all of the rejections. Day 2: overqualified applicants.

I mean comon, look at the stats of everyone posting in here, all 3.8+ and good ECs etc.

@ilikeUW- My friends and I who have been accepted have thought of that too. Some of our other friends who are pretty on edge are still waiting for SOME kind of a letter.

@nodnarbuw3

I think you’re right, all the really overqualified people (there are a lot) at my school have gotten admitted and I haven’t heard anything.

They also sent out another batch earlier today so I’m pretty sure we’ll hear from them tomorrow or Friday.

Decision: Rejected

[] Weaknesses: GPA
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/denied: My unweighted GPA was too low.
[/ul]General Comments: Disappointed that I got rejected, and posting so that future applicants can learn, but it doesn’t matter if you do well on your test scores and have pretty good EC’s and essays, if you do not have a strong unweighted GPA, forget it.
