I’m an OOS student applying to University of Washington. I have 3.89 GPA and a 27 ACT. I’m in Varsity basketball and did a few other volunteer activities and clubs relating to my major. In addition, the high school I go to is very competitive and highly ranked academically. What are my chances of getting into UW?
Preferably answer by UW students or alumni.
Here is some info about being an oos applicant compared to an in state applicant.

Good GPA, good ACT, good amount of extracurriculars.
As long as you have honors/AP classes and were taking the four core classes (English, math, science, social studies), then you have a good chance. Make sure to write a good personal statement as well.
Cause to be honest, your numbers are way better than mine - depending if you have some honors/AP and taking the core classes, but I’m also in-of-state, and part of a minority race. And yes, I’m at the UW - Seattle.
I am a current UW Seattle student and I think you have a very good chance of getting in! I had a very similar resume, the only difference was my GPA was a bit lower and my ACT was higher. Have a solid, honest personal statement that shows the admissions committee who you are and I think you be set.
