Personal Essay: I chronologically categorized how I set a goal to become an athlete from a lethargic state. I later tied it together by saying that accomplishment is indicative of my motivated character.

Short Response: I went on about how living in a sparsely populated rural community on a family farm and how this experience is untypical and therefore an asset of diversity to the U.

Thanks for your time! Any response and/or insight is greatly appreciated.

You have a pretty good shot. UW is obviously getting more difficult to be accepted into, but your GPA is pretty good… SAT is about average. It’s definitely not a shoe-in… Maybe 50/50

Can someone chance me as well?!
I’m also a junior at a very competitive high school in the bay area, california.
My sophomore year grades were not good at all because of personal family issues, but there is an upward trend in my gpa.

this summer, i’m planning on volunteering at Stanford Hospital and tutoring kids in math.
I also have around 200 community service hours.

Last summer, I took Psychology at a local community college and received a B, which would be an A weighted, correct? would that factor into my GPA?
but this spring quarter, I’m planning on taking physics, and over the upcoming summer, I’m planning on taking Statistics, Chemistry, and Business, which would all be weighted because i’m taking it @ a cc right?
if it helps, i also got a 231 on my psat, and i researched a little, and i think i have a prettty good chance at being a national merit semifinalist! i’m not 100% sure if my gpa will hold me back from being a finalist though, but i hope it gives me a mini boost?

so i know my gpa isn’t great at alll, but is there anything i can do to increase my chances of admission?!
