University of Washington...how hard to get in?

Bah. Finished my application this morning for the UW, and will be driving it down to their admissions office later this afternoon. UW is my first choice, in the event that Brown and UNC don't pan out (which is likely). My essays suck...unfortunately, it's a little late to do anything about it now. Can somebody tell me what they think my odds are? I just want to put my mind at ease...

SAT: 2140 (750 CR, 660 M, 730 W, essay 10)
GPA: 3.97 unweighted
Class rank: 2 in 219
State resident, legacy on the father's side
Mediocre, but passable essays (short on time)
Not going to bother posting all the ECs, but they're medium-good, probably 6 on a scale of 1-10

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

You are in.

U Wash: Match

Uwash is a safety for him

hes at the 75% SAT scores, salutorian, legacy, in state?

with a mediocre essay and EC's, he is in easily

uw usually has automatic admission for anyone with a certain index score. i hear they dropped the index, but you are definitely automatic. i think it would be nearly impossible for you to get rejected.

giggle "He?" I'm a she.

But I appreciate the encouragement...thanks a lot, all of you.

youre in
99.999999999%

they used to have automatic admission/notification online right when you apply i think, but they took it off. the index is also defunct now i believe, good luck, i'm applying as safety too!

What this index thing/ auto admit you speak of? Do I have a good shot with 2200 SAT, 33/34 act (34 was w/o writing), 4.0 (so far, couple of Bs this semster) GPA, 1/610 ranking (I may drop a few spots due to Bs...)

do you mean university of washington st loius? thats not a safety for anyone. its harder to get into then most ivys...

Yah, dang... sorry

ahh.. you shoudl refer to it as washington university. UW is a totally diff. school hehe

Sorry, your personality just reeks of middle-aged, bitter mother who has found no direction in life.

Congratulations you loser. Congratulations.
