Is there anyone that has recently graduated or is currently going to the university of washington that can tell what the atmosphere of the college is like? I visited the college over the summer and thought it was a gorgeous campus but i didnt really get a feel for it, so i wanted to know what the people were like....what students do socially....if the classes are very challenging...and what were your largest/smallest class sizes. Thanks!

bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the campus doesn't really have a community or school spirit feel to it because there are so many commuters and people who live off campus. it's kind of impersonal becuase there are so many people. people usually have old friends from high school or make them with people from their dorms or FIG.

socially i think most are into the greek scene. a lot of people just go around seattle though.

and for classes it depends on what you take.

UW is 9th in med. though I too live in fw, I only had the chance of going there once. school campus is beautiful, but I felt not 'at home' ? some people live at home and attend uw. people make friends from the dorm..but are mostly old hs/jh friends. I don't think you'd be outcasted from the social activities..but got to get involved around.

this post died a long time ago but I thought I'd just add some infos about uw.

also, go check out 'campusdirt.com' they have great comments about all the college/universities..
