I’m genuinely freaking out. This is my dream school and I’ll be absolutely devastated not to get in and I would just like to know accepted students stats? and if they’re out of state? thank you!
We were surprised when my son was waitlisted last year, because he thought it was a solid match. He probably would not have chosen to attend, but he got into UCSD, Davis, Tulane, Occidental, et al. He had 2060 SAT (single seating; 2070 superscore); 31 ACT; 3.3-3.4 UW/4.0+ weighted. He was out-of-state, and had great extracurriculars.
p.s. My son did not apply to any “impacted” programs, like Engineering or Computer Science; he applied to regular liberal arts college.
@woogzmama Udub focuses a lot on the unweighted GPA, and the average unweighted for accepted Udub students is around 3.75, so that might have been why
I haven’t received a letter yet, but my unofficial transcript loads with a student number and a college and major, so I’ll just post my stats if you’d still like to see them.
(California student applying as freshman)
Cumulative GPA unweighted: 3.86
Cumulative GPA weighted: 4.27
SAT Score: 1870
ACT Score: 27
Class Rank: 26/428 (So basically in the top 6% of my class) (Although I don’t think UW ever asked for class rank)
Same situation as the person above^ but hope this helps anyways!
OOS applicant (Louisiana)
unweighted GPA: 3.7
SAT score: 2080 (one sitting)
Class Rank: My school doesn’t rank, but we have a ‘school profile’ that my school sends out and I’m just a bit above the average student…nothing special.
ECs: I had some really good leadership positions and it seems like UW focuses a lot on diversity/cultural awareness and I had a lot of positions and activities that related to that.
Other: I’m an Asian female if that matters at all. I’ve also had two cousins go there but I don’t think they know that haha.
OOS student, current freshman here! I turned down UCLA and Berkeley to attend and don’t regret it. I had a 2320 SAT and 3.88 GPA.
Best of luck! Hope you hear back soon
I got my acceptance letter yesterday.

Can’t wait to go to UW!!
Prior to finding out you were accepted did you use the unofficial transcript trick? Did it work for you @GorgeousDisaster ?
3.79 gpa 1840 sat, track state qualifer, 3 APS, 4 running start classes
Accepted, OOS: California
3.75, 2050, 9 APs, FBLA awards, MUN, Yearbook, band, some other positions etc. BTW, does anyone know how Foster’s school of business is chosen? I’m still not sure if I got DA or not.
@CAClassof2019 we just have to wait, it may show up on your unofficial transcript like it has for a couple people in this forum. Eventually, they will let only the people who got in know via email. Ugh.
Literally feeling so stressed out about DA to Foster’s, I feel like we have a decent chance!!
@GabiWasabi Does yours say College: Business, Major: Business Administration? I have that on mine.
@CAClassof2019 congrats, you’re in! No, mine says pre-major, thinking I may never see business on there =((
Has your letter arrived yet?
@GabiWasabi Yes, it actually arrived today I was so happy
@CAClassof2019 hmmm okay. I’ve been accepted to UW on the site but no letter yet. Maybe it’ll update soon, my friend who got DA last year said they do it almost strictly by GPA, and mine is a 3.8, PLUS I’ve done a ton of stuff in DECA (competing at nationals, leadership roles, etc) so… fingers crossed!
@GabiWasabi Ah I hope you get in as well!!! Though if they do it purely by GPA that’s rather sad lol, since each school’s courses are different.
