definite shot at uw. Berkeley is hard to say. as someone who got in early GPA is huge as well as test score but your story may make a huge difference as they love URM. just make sure all your essays talk about it, and you have a shot
I thought UC schools didn’t acknowledge URM statuses? Anyways I take it for UC Berkeley a better method would be to transfer in from another school because of my GPA?
yes, transfer would be safer but you would still get a lot of competition
About 2.5% of enrolled freshmen at UW in 2016 had a 3.25 or lower unweighted GPA, but you certainly have an interesting background (and a competitive SAT), so maybe you will be one of them. Good luck!
