I was admitted by both of the two programmes as an international student. I want to do CS in the future. I know it is difficult to get into cs major in Udub but I want to try. For Waterloo, it is said there are few positions in CS major to transfer in so it seems that it is even more difficult to get into CS in Waterloo. Also, instead of getting into the industry, I want to go to graduate school after undergraduate either in the US or Canada. Could anyone give me some advice based on my description? Thanks!!!
Do you have any other choices? You stand a good chance of not being able to get into CS whichever of the two you choose. You have a good chance of getting CS job experience through the coops at Waterloo though.
Why do you want to go to grad school? Do you have any family in either region?
These are my all choices now. I have a plan of getting into research institutions but I don’t know if it will change during my college life. I don’t have any family in Canada and US. And maybe I can choose data science as a backup in both colleges.
do you plan to stay after graduation? Canada has easier route for immigration
for research and academic, US is better
