This thread is probably going to be a little different than regulars are used to.

I'm not looking for any top schools, per se, although I know UW just got a nice ranking from Newsweek. I'm simply attempting to transfer and was wondering what individuals' thoughts are on my attempt at the University of Washington and Western Washington University. I know that makes it a lot harder to chance, as things like HS GPA and SAT scores are pretty much set to the side.

I'm applying w/ an AA and a 3.5 GPA from a CC (yeah, yeah, I know. I slipped up in 1 class badly enough that it would have been a 3.7 GPA had I not taken that class. Still not great, I know.)

I guess my main question, more so than trying to figure out if I'm qualified, is if earning an AA would increase my chance at transferring to one of these schools? (WWU is my #1 choice actually because of their teaching program). WWU typically accepts around 55-60% of transfers w/ Washington Community College students being the priority, while UW accepts 40-50% of transfers w/ no real priority.

If anymore info is needed, feel free to tell me and I will let you! Thanks in advance.
