I was accepted into the University of West Florida for the Fall term of 2014. I am a senior and recently got my report card to find I had a D+ in calculus my first semester. Will my acceptance be revoked because of my first semester calculus grade?

Perhaps. Many colleges do rescind acceptances if the midyear report is not up to par. I hope you applied to other schools, just in case. However, considering it is calculus, you may want to send an email or talk to the admissions office explaining what happened. I hope all goes well for you, but a D+ is hard to overcome.

UWF doesn’t require a midyear report (yea!), but they will want your final transcripts. If you can get a B or better your second semester (and keep the rest of your grades at a B or better), I don’t think you’ll have a problem. Don’t get another D! :)

Good Luck!

Thank you both! I’ll bust my butt to get a B

congrats on your acceptance to university of west florida
