Majoring in Biology and Biomedical Engineering. From IL. Chance me? Thanks so much!

They let in a lot of kids who don’t really belong there because it is their mission to serve the people of the state… so they give some with dubious chances an opportunity to try. That hurts their test scores and drives up their admit rate but it does nothing to diminish the quality, rigor, or prestige of a University of Wisconsin education.

A UW degree is as impressive (or more impressive) worldwide as a degree from such stalwarts as Northwestern, Duke, Dartmouth, and Brown, and more impressive than one from UVA, UNC, Vanderbilt, Washington U, Case Western, Tufts, Northeastern, and others that rank ahead of UW according to US News.

Those are all very good schools, of course. But the quality of education you’ll receive at UW is top-notch and you’ll have very good research opportunities if they’re in your plans. And you’ll have fun. :-)
