University of Wisconsin - Madison vs Georgia Tech

Hey Fellow CC Members! I know it's a busy time of the year as everybody decides their colleges but I would really appreciate it if you could spare a minute to help solve my dilemna.

I'm an international student and I've been accepted to UW-Madison, Georgia Tech, UMD - College Park and NC State for Computer Engineering. I've narrowed it down to UW Madison and Georgia Tech and I can't seem to decide between them both. Personally, I like Wisconsin a lot, The atmosphere is great and the diversity is amazing. Added to that I also hear the faculty is very friendly and if you're a dilligent student they can really go out of their way to help you.
However there are a couple of reasons I'm considering Tech:

1) GaTech is Rank 5 while UW- Madison is Rank 13 for Undergraduate Computer Engineering on US News (In Graduate GaTech is 5 and UW 11)

2) From What I have heard, GaTech has a much better co-op program than UW. Partly because it's located in a city like Atlanta, so the career oppurtunities are also much better.

3) After Speaking to a lot of people, I come to understand that Georgia Tech is very highly regarded for it's engineering in the job industry and UW does not really come across that well in that context.

4) Also I'm interested in Campus Jobs as well, so a perspective on which of the two could provide better oppurtunities would also be appreciated.

Most Importantly, The primary reason I'm considering these factors is because the fees for International students is phenomenal, added to the fact that it's extremely hard to get any sort of aid. So keeping all that in mind, It is imperative that I do earn a certain amount while I'm studying so I can reduce the burden on my parents finances and try to support myself as much as possible. Further, I do also wish to continue and take up a Master's degree from schools like MIT,Stanford and Caltech and all that has to be financed on my own as well.

Keep all that in mind, I'd highly appreciate opinions from students, Ex - students and even parents who've faced similar situations with their children.

Thanks!

If money is no issue, Georgia Tech really stands out here. The other 3 cannot even be compared to it.

“International students who accumulate 12-months (365 days) of Co-op (CPT) will forfeit the Optional Practical Training (OPT) benefit.”

UW has a good placement report page. Comp eng seem to do very well. Plenty of coops.
