<p>I was wrong about the museum. I was confusing it with the humanities building next door. The latter is truely an oppresive building. The museum is ok.</p>

<p>Yes, it's on everyone's least favorite list. The only good thing about it is that Harvey Goldberg and George Mosse gave great lectures there for many years. The recent documentary film about Robert Mcnamara by UW alum Errol Morris was dedicated to those great history profs.</p>

<p>The humanities building, along with Vilas Hall, is awful. I know it is stated to be torn down eventually. And I think it speaks volumes that in Madison, where you can find someone to protest anything, I haven't heard a single person say the Humanities building should stay. In fact, they could probably sell tickets for people to take sledge hammers to it!</p>

<p>I went to a film lecture last night by retired Professor David Bordwell at the museum. What a wonderful person. He has brought lots of glory to UW. My son at USC film school used one of his textbooks in an introductory cinema class last year.</p>
