I'm mainly concerned about my gpa, I come from an underprivileged public school and have a 3.64 unweighted and a 3.71 weighted, but am in about the top 15% of my class of 360.
I have a lot of volunteer hours, am in 3-4 clubs and national honor society. I have placed 2nd and 4th at my state HOSA, qualifying for nationals. I've taken a couple college level health field courses too, along with being CNA certified through a 6 week summer course I took at a technical college in my city.
I'm applying for nursing but don't expect to get accepted in as a freshmen, so I'm applying for the college of liberal arts at Minnesota and at Wisconsin I'd be applying for the school of Letters and Science.
I feel as if I have an okay chance for Minnesota, but I don't know about Wisconsin. What do you all think?

Madison usually takes top 10% of wisconsin students. The 3.6 is okay, I wouldnt worry about it too much. You seem to fit right into the average to high area of students at madison, I think you’ll make it.

@razumikhin thank you! I’m very anxious but just hearing that made me feel better.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

You have very good chances at Wisconsin, as long as your essays were decent. Being out of state, you seem to be on the line for Minnesota.

@SawyerB really? I’d always thought Minnesota was a much easier school to get into. That kinda worries me because umn is my top school. Thanks for your opinion though!

is minnesota somewhat harder for out of state students to get into? thanks!
