University Scholars Program Weekend...anyone else?

hey, I'm going to be at the university scholars program weekend april 8th - 11th and I was just wondering if anyone else here will be attending.

or any current uni's that have any comments...anyone?

Just don't be obnoxious when you are here because current students get really easily annoyed during scholars weekend. Don't compare SAT scores on the bus. Don't brag about your accomplishments or stats within earshot of any duke student or be prepared to be on the receiving end of some dirty looks. Nobody cares.

do they fly acceptees out there for free?

I'll be there that weekend with the other BN Duke finalists.

all for free.

How does the mentoring program work for Duke scholarship recipients? Are mentors assigned based on your major? What if you're undecided?
What other perks are available to Duke scholars other than the mentoring, travel allowance and study abroad? For instance, do scholars have the option to register early for classes s(i.e., before the rest of the Duke student population) so that they get their pick of classes? I know of one scholarship in another university that allows students to register for classes after the grad students and before the seniors which I thought was really cool. Do scholarship recipients get extra assistance in their senior year when it comes to applying for grad/professional schools and applying for scholarships, etc.? Feedback from current scholars is appreciated.

Thanks,

D-Man

I don't know a lot about the scholarships (I'm not a recipient) but I do know that they do get extra help finding and applying for jobs/internships/professional schools/grad schools. I think there is even a whole office devoted to helping them out senior year with jobs and stuff. They don't get to register early.
