For the medical application's question, *In which activity or commitment are you most proud to be involved? Why? " how much writing do they want? There is no word count, so a full fledged 500 word essay? Or a short and sweet 5 sentence reply?

Also, what is an "Educational Goal?" Is it similar to major/minor?
And can I superscore all the standard test scores since the form didn't require a specific date for the scores?

Lengthwise, I went for about what I could fit single-spaced printing in 12 pt font... i think it was two 5 sentence paragraphs or so

as far as educational goals, I couldn't really tell you for sure. Don't forget that they do, of course, know what your projected major is from your application most likely, so what they really want to see is direction. For me, that meant i had to scrape for things to say in my essay, because i didn't have a whole lot of assurance as to what i wanted to study, much less where i wanted to be in 10 years. If you have serious direction (short-term or long-term) just communicate that as best you can: if not, you'll have to do the best you can, trying to think through where you think you'd fit

and WashU should be fine with superscores: that's what goes into your application, anyway
