University Studies?

Anyone have any information or experience with Virginia Tech's University Studies? What sort of classes are taken? Any information is much appreciated!

Thanks

A lot of students who are unsure about their major are in University Studies. My D took classes that interested her for a possible major (English/Communication).on top of required classes in math, science etc.

What did she think of it? Did the program help her with her future studies?

Well the 1st year was tough because of the requirements. She is not a math/science type and she had to take classes to fulfill those requirements. But now that she has decided on a major (English/French minor) she is doing much better. US is perfectly fine if you're not sure about your major. You can try different classes in different subjects to decide what you want to do.

And you will have to take a selection of courses from several areas as part of the school's Core Requirements anyway.

University Studies is a good way for freshmen to figure out what major they want their last 3 years at Tech.
