<p>This has been sound advice for years. I'm glad to see the universities go further in formalizing their support. Now I just hope the CC's can keep up with demand.</p>
<p>Interesting article. What I find striking is that a few years ago - none of my older son’s friends even slightly considered that route. Now with S2 - I hear parents of his friends discussing this option all the time. I know the economy is a big factor - but it seems there really has been a shift in how people view the 4-year college expenditure and the value it provides. I would have been shocked to hear about a reasonably good student going to a cc a few years ago - now - not as much.</p>
