<p>Son has paid deposit to stay in UV for senior year. Has opportunity to move to house off campus, walking distance, for less rent. Housing agreement says UM will charge $500 cancellation fee PLUS first semester rent if they cannot find someone else to take his place in his 4 bedroom/4 bath unit. We will call the Housing Dept. tomorrow. Does anyone have experience breaking a UV lease? Do you think there is a waiting list for spots, so first semester rent won't be assessed? Obviously, if UM will charge $5,600 for the fall semester, son will stay in UV.</p>
