Can anyone share experience of living at University Village? Is it much more expensive than living in Red Road Commons or other off campus apartment? For example, 2 bedrooms/2 baths this year in UV cost $13583 per person for a 12-month lease or $1131 per month. UV rent includes furniture, appliances, utilities, Internet and CATV, washer/dryer, and parking space.

No, I think it is comparable or cheaper given the amenities. Son lived there his last two years on campus, no real problems I can recall.

My son is living at Red Road this year. His monthly rent on a 2 bed/2 bath is $2390, plus CATV, electric and water. It also doesn’t include a parking spot or furniture. However, it is considerably larger than UV, and includes a pool and workout room. Also, it’s not campus housing.

VHFather: Is that @2390 per person or is it split by the four roommates (so about $600 per month each)?

It must be split by four…

It’s split by however many kids you have living in a 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment. In my sons case, there are 3 of them. $2390 is the total rent.

Thanks. Just checking!!

Thank you all. This is very helpful.

Loved my experience, but it is pretty expensive, about $12,000 a year, but I think it’s a 12 month lease (doesn’t apply to me b/c I’m graduating).
