<p>easmesmom…Good to hear we’ll hopefully only have to do it the one time, at least until we get ready to send D2 and S off to college. I know UMich’s website says the CSS Profile is necessary for need-based aid consideration but wasn’t sure about merit based aid. I thought it said the majority of non need-based scholarships were covered by the Admissions application, but we’d like to make sure we cover all the bases. I had read some other postings implying that filing a CSS Profile which shows no financial need could hurt your chances for other scholarships since the school is now aware of your financial status, but I’m not sure if that’s true or not.</p>
