I've made threads asking for advice about law school, But at times I believe im undecided about what I want to do for the rest of my life. And im serious about this... What are the first steps you took in deciding a permanent major?

What interests do you have? You'll likely have many, and you usually won't be aware of those interests until you take some classes. I hated math in high school - love it now. I also enjoyed the two Econ classes I've taken (moreso than any others) so I opted for that direction. And I really enjoy Philosophy in general; the moment I read the course descriptions for WashU's P dept., I was hooked.

I'd suggest getting a list going with the classes you've taken / take in the future and ordering them or in some way noting which ones you liked the most. I realized that I just wasn't in love with most classes I've taken and there are only so many choices. Read some books in that subject as well if you're really interested; and then, of course, some people just major in what they are naturally good at.
