Unofficial or Official Transcript?

Just wondering which one I just bring to an internship interview?

99.9% of the time an unofficial transcript will be fine. If you happen to have a spare official one laying around (I don’t know of anyone who routinely did during college) then I suppose bring that. Otherwise you can likely just show them the unofficial one and say you can provide an official transcript if needed. To be honest, I don’t think interviews for internships ever required a transcript for me.

Unless they specifically tell you to bring an official transcript, an unofficial transcript is fine. Actually, you usually don’t need a transcript for an interview so there’s no reason to bring one unless they ask.

If they offer you the job, they’ll usually ask for a transcript as part of the background check.

My phone interview recruiter requested an unofficial so I sent her one. Just though maybe I should bring one in case for my on-site interviewer

The on-site interviewer probably already has it then, but it wouldn’t hurt to have an unofficial transcript handy.

When someone wants an official transcript, they usually want it mailed directly from the school to prevent tampering.
