Unofficial SAT Subject Math Level 2 Oct 2014 Thread

The minimum raw score for an 800 is usually around 43/50, give or take a point or two.

It was alright. I missed the square one and skipped the one that was a system of equations and then | a b |
| c d | or something. Hoping for the 800. @Pingpong2‌

And did you get infinity for the amount of lines on a plane perpendicular to a line

I got infinity

Theta? a/2?

I don’t remember the question but I do remember seeing that answer. I didn’t get that though.

two separate questions, two separate answer.

i think i got the answer a where the other answer options were a/2, a2…

also what did you guys get for an answer where the question was like, how many x intercepts or something is there for y^5 … i think i said none

also, what about the one where the answer options were January to august, feb to august…blah blhah… and a second question about filling water for cone and cylinder

It couldn’t be none, the domain and range where infinity from both sides

I got February and another month i think, i forget but i remember the maximum was around 7000 @heyMA321; also did you get aces(theta) for an answer

**acos(theta)

@hugzUC‌ @ivyscores10‌ Yes it was acos(theta), and I got February and August for that other question

@FriskySquirrel , everyone else is saying it was asec(theta) but I’m pretty sure it was acos(theta

I felt fairly good about the math 2 until I saw this post…I got answers different from what others are saying. For the one with the months, I put January and July (after rethinking it though, I think I might have done this one incorrectly). I also put “exactly one” for the one with the plane intersecting a line (I might have misinterpreted what they were asking). I also got a*sec(theta) for the one that everyone is talking about above.

I’m was hoping for an 800, but now I guess I’ll just be happy if I can manage a 770…and I guess I’ll be signing up for November.

@ivyscores10‌ Of wait, my bad, I now remember. I got a/cos(theta), which is secant, sorry for the confusion.

@rkepp12 Same here haha. I think that the months one was asin(2x)+bcos(2pi*x) where a and b are two constants I don’t remeber. I just plugged in sin(2x)+cos(2pix) into my calculator and estimated the maximas (looking back at that equation now, the graph does not look like the one I got in the test, so the equation is wrong or I was during the test).

@FriskySquirrel Honestly, I was about to try and do Calculus on the months one, but I figured that wouldn’t be a very efficient use of my time  I think my problem was that I found the months during which it was at a MINIMUM, not a maximum…whoops. Oh well! I got two of the three right above, hopefully.

What other subject tests did you guys take in addition to math 2?

Physics, didn’t go to well thought… Hopefully the curve is very generous this year.
