Honestly yes. It seems like the first batch was meant to create anticipation for the rest of the applicants because it was a small number and only ISS and no rejection letters. @uwhusky1997
If you wanna see who got in go to their tag board for all the newhuskies2015 . It’s dope to see all the exictiement!
People who I didn’t think would get in, got in. However, I read somewhere in some article that acceptance rate dropped this year and 10k+ people applied this year.
I’m OOS and saw that my transcript loaded today! Still waiting on a letter…
@zjjack does that mean you’re in for sure?
@enigmaaaa123 wait are you saying only 10k people applied to UW this year?! Where did you find this info?
36k people applied, but it’s usually 30k, so there was about a 6k increase in applicants
@monkeyblue97 I’m not sure I don’t want to assume anything…
@enigmaaaa123 36k+ applied lol
Hi I’m an instate student really worried right now that I was rejected before even getting a rejection letter. I live within an hour of UW and almost 10 students (class of 250) received acceptance letters yesterday. Most were valedictorians or students we all knew it would get in. But I haven’t yet, and my unofficial transcript still just is my info from when I took a UW course in high school, labels me non matriculated and all that.
So I am instate, no letter of either kind, and no new transcript load. Is this bad for me?
But I’m just in disbelief, because I have a 3.87 gpa, 1900 sat, 4 AP classes and many honors classes, and 3 years of French. Great essays. ECs like many clubs and achievements within, jobs, sports, ect.
I thought I had a fair chance, but I’m seeing people get in that I never would have expected to get in, because I know for a fact they have lower scores and gpa than me.
I’m just concerned. This is my dream school.
I know not many got letters yesterday, but I know none did today, based on Instagram and Twitter hashtags that is.
Hey guys! I have been following this thread for a while now and just created an account so I can comment. I am really amazed at how many people are so dedicated to this school, its amazing! I am an OOS too and my transcript loaded but I still haven’t gotten a letter yet. How long do you think it would take for the letter to get to NorCal ? Anyways to people who are worrying about not getting a letter or not having their transcript loaded, don’t worry too much about it! Especially if you guys are instate I heard that the letters have only reached certain parts of Washington so you will definitely get your letter by the end of the week at the latest. Good Luck to everyone!
@kingcwagrad15 I wouldn’t worry too much you have really good stats so I think you’ll be fine
@sRina97
I personally haven’t gotten in to UW yet and I am in NorCal. My friend did get in and I will tell you when he will gets his letter so you know when it’s coming.
Assuming it is arriving via regular (not priority) mail, (6 days). You’ll probably get it Thursday/Friday.
I have a really bad GPA (3.15) but all my other stats are “decent” 1780 SAT and a bunch of extra curricular activities that are quite unique and CS-Oriented (my desired major) . I still haven’t gotten a transcript either.
Does UW at least look beyond the GPA and accept at least SOME students who don’t have perfect GPAs?
I’m from NorCal.
I want to at least get in undeclared.
I am currently stressing the f*** out right now.
@wiifixp thanks!!! Ok just a few more days… we can do this!!!
@sRina97 yes! Congrats on your admittance! What major did you apply for?
@wiifixp I applied for biomedical engineering and my transcript says pre engineering. What about you?
@sRina97 I think that is a placeholder for biomedical engineering. It seems like everyones transcript is showing pre majors.
I applied for Computer Science.
@wiifixp yea thats what I thought too .
I’m still immensely worried about the unofficial transcript not being an accurate telling of admittance. I have similar stats to you @wiifixp. A 3.25 GPA 1940 SAT but no AP classes just all honors Tons of ECs in relation to Journalism (my intended major) and a essay that explains my lower GPA but was written last minute and not an accurate representation of how well I can write. I feel like I haven’t actually gotten in. I’m hoping if somebody gets rejected they will let us all know so we have more information
