I've heard (from reading the message boards on CC) that if you see the "unofficial transcript upload on your applicatus status page, it means you've been accepted. Is this really true?

Got mine to load on the 16th, received my acceptance letter yesterday...seems to be true!

Just to clarify -- it's not just seeing the option in the list. When you click the link you actually see a page with your name on it.

can someone clarify this?

Unofficial transcript loaded yesterday, got acceptance letter today.

sorry, i am a bit confused
where does it say this on myuw and which transcript is it referring to?
thanks!

Log in to myUW

Click the "Student" tab at the top of the page

Click "Unofficial Transcript" in the right column

If the page loads and your student ID, name, major, etc. shows up, you are in*. You should receive your acceptance letter a few days later.

(*If you already taking classes for credit at UW, like College In The High School programs, you have a transcript anyway and this method may not apply to you.)

I'm taking a UW extension and it doesn't work for me, like sopepperminty said. : (

thanks sopepperminty, that makes sense

i applied for college in high school a couple years ago, i withdrew and didnt end up going but i do have an unofficial transcript there...

I didnt get my unofficial transcript uploaded, and my status was we have reviewed....
does that mean i got rejected?

Not necessarily. I'd wait until you got a letter in the mail to be sure.

do we know that this works for sure? because i just tried it today and it loaded (this is the first time i tried it). i live 50 minutes away from seattle... so assuming it does work i should be expecting an acceptance tomorrow?

also, the status of my application updated from "we have all necessary materials" to "your application has been reviewed" just today.

We live in Bellevue, and it still took almost a week to receive the letter after the transcript loaded, so don't worry if it doesn't come tomorrow. I don't think that they always get it in the mail the same day.

If it says "FRESHMAN" under "Class" on the Unofficial Transcript that's a pretty sure sign. Everything I've heard, both here and with my DS and his friends, is that if it loads you've been accepted. I haven't heard anything about it not loading meaning that you've been rejected, though, so I agree with Ceetie Bee that justin should just wait for a letter.

okay thanks for letting me know... good thing you told me, otherwise i might have freaked out if it wasn't in the mailbox tomorrow. i am pretty excited though!

it does say freshman under class so that's good.

Thank you.. i guess i just have to wait..

I have the same problem as 'justin 222.'

Mine says:

Application Status
You have applied as a Freshman student to the University of Washington Seattle for autumn quarter 2009. The current status of your application is as follows:
We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.

(The status of your application to the UW Seattle was last updated on February 19, 2009. )

I'm guessing I was rejected......because the unofficial transcript didn't load.

:(

Help!?!?

Funny because I was actually on campus studying at Odegaard today, heh heh :P

not necessarily. my unofficial transcript loaded 2 days after my status changed. so give it a few more days. :)

In a prior post I put a link from The Daily dated 2/20 that said they are having a tough time with admissions because of the budget cuts and 23,000 applications so hold on guys. I think that most of the decisions are not out yet.

^^

I hope...

I'm really confused. UW is already sending out acceptance letters but my application is still at "We have received all materials required to review your application. Your application will remain in this status until decisions are finalized. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made" and has been this way since January. If they haven't even looked at your application until it says "we have reviewed" then that doesn't make sense because don;t they view all applications before sending out decisions? I'm really confused!
